I thought the sunburst was the most redeeming part of that guitar, and I generally reckon the neck pickup is the only tolerable part of a strat
But you certainly met your goal of modifying it I have to admit.
Yes each to to his own. This setup was what the present owner wanted at low cost. He wanted the blender knob different and settled on black with no lettering. I guess to be reminded what it was for ? Personally I like neck single coil, no middle and bridge Humbucker.
