You Got To Move
I only know Freds version, I love his stuff, his timing and feel and very unique.BG wrote:cheers guys, yeah there are some crackles, scratches and 50hz hum in there, obviously need turning up a bit then my old office chair, about 10 years old but it squeaks like a herd of angry mice. Re: You Got To Move
There's also the Rev. Gary Davis' version. Not terribly fond of that one, somehow, but it's still great.

Re: You Got To Move
Yeah BG does it for me, nice version. Thats some good shit. Got the republic out tonight, trying a few things. Waiting on some better tuners, and a new saddle, stripped the paint off the bridge, big change.

Re: You Got To Move
Woah, let me know how that goes, yours played like buttah anyway! I've just re-mixed it, first time listening through monitors (yeah I mixed with headphones!) and found the stomp to be too boomy. Upped the crackles too...

Re: You Got To Move
Really big change, better note clarity and evened out the tone, not a lot more volume but woah, played like buttah before sounds like sizzling buttah now. That paint was damn thick, dropped the action just over a millimetre. You need to do this. Go to Michael Messer, Talking Blues, Tricone fine tuning thread, got some pics up there.

Yeah sweet, just finished the whole thread, happy to get the stripper out then, oh er... let me know how those tuners go, one of mine is very iffy, its worthy of some cash being spent on it! Hows the single cone quest going?
