Very nice...like the red.

Re: MikeC Sixty-One SRT
How much cost saving would there be in having one without reverb and trem? I tend to prefer to use pedals for such things for the style of music I'm into

Re: MikeC Sixty-One SRT
Parts wise perhaps $150.00, time wise it would end up costing considerably more. The cheapest option would be to turn the built in Reverb and Tremolo off (treat them as "backups") and just use your pedals!
Or, if this amp butters your toast you could sell said pedals (restraint please JB....)

Looking good. The only change I would make is changing the 10 to 11 on the volume and master knobs to give it that extra bit of oomphMikeC wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 4:58 pm Reporting some great progress on the Sixty-One SRT and it's sounding good to my ear. I'm using a pair of vintage Vox Silver Alnico's for testing (thanks Murky). Tremolo, Reverb, Cut and VRM (Power Scaling) installed, debugged and working well. She does 15W RMS clean and dirty's up nicely too.
Have a look at my control panel design and let me know what you think!

Re: MikeC Sixty-One SRT
I've now got her in a temporary head cab with mock control panels (printed on paper then laminated at The Warehouse!!!). Not much room for the reverb tank which is suspended from the top. This arrangement has introduced a little bit of reverb hum but that won't be the case once installed in a taller head cab or combo. Anyone want to try her out and provide some feedback re how she sounds (good or bad)? I live in Red Beach near Orewa, Auckland.

Had the pleasure of playing this amp today. The executive summary is it sounded GREAT. So good in fact, I’m going to buy one. Didn’t even ask the price. Back of the line guys…..
