Wired this up recently. Pretty good. Not sure how long before I change it though hehe.

That’s high praise coming from you. Your clips I’ve seen on Facebook have great tone!blackstratblues wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 7:05 pmThat little TS mini may just be my favourite tubescreamer of all time
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Good to see a mids push on that Boss EQ! Are they very hissy?

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I use one too Mike, mainly as a clean boost
I've read that some of the older ones can be a bit noisy but mine doesn't add much noise at all so long as you keep the volume on it at half or less. It's one of those pedals that you never give much thought about, but then once you've tried it there's no way it' coming off your board. I got mine from my Dad, he had used it for years until someone spilt a pint of beer over it and killed it. He bought a new one but I decided to try it when I went back and visited him last year - the beer must have all dried out and it's been working great ever since
Not sure what that says about British beer

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I’ve tried 2 of the Bass versions and yeah couldn’t buy as noise was fizzy
There is a guy on TM who “fixes/mods” them as noiseless. IIRC it’s approximately $260
The old PQ-3B however is excellent. And with 18db on tap it’s definitely a boost pedal option as well.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Nah no hiss at all with those settings. If I push them a little higher and/or if I increase the master level then it gets a little noisier. I've considered getting a modded one that's supposed to be quieter but the standard ge7 works great for my eq/boosting needs

Re: Show us your pedalboard
The pedalboard is called a temple board. I love this thing and have wired in power, patch bay etc. I have a power supply underneath which is powering the LED strip for those lights. It's just a cheap $10 RGB strip.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
I really like some of strange reverbs on there; mangled space, space hole, and particle reverb. They can make some rather out there wall-of-sound kinda stuff. There are some solid delay and mod effects on there too. Recently i've been mucking about with the "zoom hack" which allows you to put the amp, drive and bass effects on the ms70cdr that officially don't come on it. I've been enjoying playing with their versions of a fuzz face and tone bender

Cheers. Yeah, there's so much in it that it is an invaluable unit. So handy!MiniForklift wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 9:12 amThat looks like a great board, I do like the look of those Fractal's

Well aged in British beer, maybe that'll become a new craze in pedal relicing.MiniForklift wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2022 9:02 amI use one too Mike, mainly as a clean boost

I agree with it not coming off the board. With my little board especially, i was thinking that board real estate is important and I could put something else there, something a little more exciting than an eq pedal. Getting used to playing with the eq though, and having that extra bit of refinement on your tone makes the pedal essential for me

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Yes, but it’s only noticeable if running higher gain, or cranked/attenuated. Typically occurs when moving a slider away from the mid notch - even if lowering the slider.
I’ve been down the mod rabbit hole - including the Dexter quiet mod. The hiss can be improved, but it’s still there.
The EQ-200 however is dead quiet! Surprisingly so actually. Similar footprint too - especially when you factor space for the side jacks.
