Quite pleased how well the GHS Flats work on the fretless Jazz.
Definitely a different flavour of Flats to Chromes and nice to have the option
LaBella Flats should arrive tomorrow

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
I’ve ordered LaBella Flats for another couple of Basses.
Like most things from North America Freight times are horrendous

Moody weather in Otautahi so it’s Fender Friday for me
Will put LaBella Flats on the 71 Jazz , Nev C thinks they are arriving soon
Chromes on the Precision this set is from 2008
GHS Flats on the Fretless Jazz which I quite like. Certainly a different tone to the Chromes which were on this previously

Re: Anyone like bass guitars?
Got a couple of hours playing in this morning
VCA Compression is different to Optical Compression
I think the former suits Active Basses and the latter Passive. Maybe because
Ran the Fretless 2EQ Stingray w/ Chromes into the Diamond BCP then Sadowsky Pre and by jingo it is RIGHTEOUS TOAN

That's cheating though – there's no way with that setup that Toan could be lackuster

My latest addition to the family.
I climbed on the back of a giant albatross which flew through a crack in the cloud to a place where happiness reigned all year round and music played ever so loudly

The Cure Tribute band?
Matching Red Headstock is definitely a good look
What string gauges and can it fit the tremolo bar?

95 - 26 seems to be a good guage. Any smaller on the bottom E rattles too much. The tremelo arm works well, but is very lose and yet on the Squier Bass VI seems to be no problem. Very strange.
There's a long list of cool songs done on the VI actually (Beatles of course amongst others )

A loose tremolo arm is an easy fix- just give the portion of it that fits into the collet a gentle bend. I’ve been doing that on Jazzmasters for years.
