I've got a Hakko too - very nice. Bought a "chisel" tip for it which makes it a very versatile iron. Found out that there are fake Hakkos - "Chakkos" if you will!

My Weller is 25yrs old and still going strong, well worth investing in good tools.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I got the Hakko from synergy. went with the FX600, not a station but a proper temp controlled, ceramic element jobbie at less than half the price. also got a cheap stand with cast iron base.
