Re: Polytune Question
Yeah, but I use a $300 power supply.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Re: Polytune Question
That's your problem right there. You've over-capitalised. And it can't be easy to clip that to your headstock.

Re: Polytune Question
You have a power supply clipped to your headstock?

Re: Polytune Question
No. Just at the outset I completely misunderstood the type of tuner you were having trouble with.
Interestingly, the clip-on is similarly incapable of showing individually tuned strings as being in tune when you strike all six at the same time. It always shows a couple out.

My clip-on is a Snark. It does nothing fancy and everything right. Wonderful piece of kit.Molly wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 6:22 pmNo. Just at the outset I completely misunderstood the type of tuner you were having trouble with.

Re: Polytune Question
My clip-on tuner’s clip broke. It is now a strap-on.

Re: Polytune Question
I feel like every tuner I've ever used has done this to some extent. Couple of Pitchblacks, Pitchclip, the tuner on the THR. All seem to think the low E is a B for a bit then they get their act together.

Re: Polytune Question
Re: the E/B confusion, I think guitar strings naturally have an overtone of a fifth that confuses tuners. But I may have just completely synthesized that factoid right now.
