I did! I suggested a new battery. :-)
Yeah, but I use a $300 power supply.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

That's your problem right there. You've over-capitalised. And it can't be easy to clip that to your headstock.

No. Just at the outset I completely misunderstood the type of tuner you were having trouble with. :-)

Interestingly, the clip-on is similarly incapable of showing individually tuned strings as being in tune when you strike all six at the same time. It always shows a couple out.

My clip-on is a Snark. It does nothing fancy and everything right. Wonderful piece of kit.

My clip-on tuner’s clip broke. It is now a strap-on.

(I’ve been way too serious today, so thought I’d better lighten up.)

I feel like every tuner I've ever used has done this to some extent. Couple of Pitchblacks, Pitchclip, the tuner on the THR. All seem to think the low E is a B for a bit then they get their act together.

Re: the E/B confusion, I think guitar strings naturally have an overtone of a fifth that confuses tuners. But I may have just completely synthesized that factoid right now.
