embarrassingly, I'm on a very 70's disco oriented trip at the moment, Chic, Earth Wind and Fire etc... I'm trying to improve my speed and technique, and sadly I'm really enjoying it

Open G tuning chords/slide. It's hard not to make everything sound like Keef and my technique still sucks, but I'm working in it.

I just remember most of them from 'grab a granny' nights in the Mall, Stockton. My old haunt as an early twenty-something :)

Did the job though.

Bad Guy is a great solo loop song. Wish You Were Samick is a fun acoustic number.

Fingerstyle songs like that is almost a meditation for me. If I don't fully relax and empty my mind it all falls apart. The minute I try to think of what I'm doing it all turns to custard. Hard yakka!

Same here. I've been playing Needle and the Damage Done for decades and I doubt I've ever played it without a mistake.

The closest thing to crazy - Katie Melua. I am sure I will do it a total injustice, even when transposed to a more suitable key of G for male vocal chords...

Stunning voice she has:

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Pretty song. Acoustic fingerpicking is the only thing I can do with any degree of confidence. And it is often a meditation; especially with my Lowden.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
