I've got a Keeley compressor and a Freqout; it does sustain for ages.
😂

My delays are the opposite, very noticeable, decent gaps, rhythmic

Ahhh I thought that might be misleading, its more that you want them super short so you don't hear the gaps between repeats so it sounds like it all sustains for ages as you play :)

I think Slowy is praise and worshiping something that doesn't require dotted 8ths though

Zackly. This is the point. But it's too hard to pull off reliably live.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

JB would love to pull it off in front of a live audience.

He'd more likely get gigs in Amsterdam and Hamburg.

Live? Like, when your wife has guests in the living room?

No. Live like when there's 100+ people trying to boogie to your beats.

If you really want rhythmic delays combined with other effects I'd go for a tap tempo pedal that can sync multiple pedals or stick with a single brand like sterilemon or source audio who have that functionality built in :)

Or get something like a smart clock that can sync a bunch of pedals between midi and input tap jacks.

I have no problem playing these things live, I have to tap in two delays separately and that’s still fine. Was much easier when I was with a team that played to click but it still works without, just need to re tap if the tempo has drifted.

It makes you realise you don't need modulation..or reverb.
And actually, it's well worth the effort. :D

Yeah but practice... admin... finding people to tolerate being in a band with me...

Easier to just buy more Strymon delays. Anyone selling a Dig?

Tease us a little bit. What's the one that doesn't have dibs?
 Traditional Clean 40/20 combo.
Ooooh John Mayer has been using one of those live recently!

I struggle with this too. I like having separate pedals for all the thin-based effects, but it is soooo much easier to cover them all off with a multifx box. Hit the program setting and everything is right, inc levels and time.
This would work if the drummer was consistent with his tempo.
Ah, yes, well there's no pedal can fix that :-)

Can you send a link to this, are you sure it's the 40 watt Traditional Clean?
