SOLD: Tele...it's a nice one

Post by olegmcnoleg »

I've got acoustic gas really bad at the moment so this needs to go.

[waits to see if he is automatically banned for saying this]

NOW SOLD

It is a Tele, highly customised. The body is by MJT, tobacco burstish, nitro finish. The wood is ash and it looks to be a single piece.

The neck is from an MIJ tele, with MIJ tuners. Maple, obviously. It is beefy but with a little tapering...not full thickness all the way down. A few of the frets have barely discernible wear, the rest look new. I've lightly rubbed the stickiness off the finish with some very fine wire wool. Fender F neckplate

The neck pickup is a TV Jones, the rear pickup is a Cavalier Nocaster. It has an Emerson Custom wiring harness with a big ole vintage-style capacitor. Also has a treble bleed mod so the guitar will shine through the mix even when you turn it down :-). All the cavities are shielded with copper, so it is quiet.

I've fitted a genuine Deusenberg trem, with adjustable arm (length and angle can be changed). The bridge is Fender and has 3 rounded and chromed saddles, so they are smooth enough to allow the trem to work its magic. I think they are brass under the chrome, but not sure. The Tele and bridge are also drilled for through-body stringing, if you feel like giving the Trem the night off. But why would you???

It's a great combination of pickups and sounds. The guitar is in great shape with no known faults.

These partsacaster jobbies seem to be popular right now--or at least there are some real optimist sellers on TM  This one will be cheaper I expect. I'm not sure what it is worth, but am open to reasonable offers.

If a man says he's going to fix it, he will.

I liked the old neck but the new I imagine will suit me more. The wobblestick looks cool?

I'd hate to think, knowing some of the ones he's sold.
