Wow six. That reminds me of a Steve Grindrod story. He custom built some Marshalls for Ac/Dc when he was a designer at Marshall. The lead version had six Kt88's and the bass model eight. They took them out on tour and they were all still working when they brought them back at the end. Any plastic on the cabs had however completely melted... Maybe don't leave any picks on top aye.

Hoping it’s as good as I remember from playing it in Mojosound Cuba St, and then again at The Amp shop more recently (although still ages ago). I’ve been GASsing for one for about 15 years!

Sounds like a near perfect amp. Happy NGD!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Eek! I hadn’t thought of that. Hopefully this is from the Ryan era.

I suspect it probably is from the Ryan era... my guess is Gold Plated bought all Ryan’s old stock for a crazy low bail-out price...

Holy fuck it sounds good!!!

The previous owner bought it from Ryan when he was Custom Audio Boutique and had his showroom in Avondale.

How would you describe the toan? if it sounded half as good as it looks it would be amazing!

Channel A sounds like a refined BF Fender. Spongier drive, and smoother top end (BF Fenders can get quite harsh). Bright switch adds that classic glassy high frequency that BF Fenders are known for.

Channel B is a tighter, full range gain (it has no tone stack). It has a huge gain range thanks to the boost function. I’m not super experienced in Marshall land but it reminds me of an 18watt I had years ago.

Both channels sound lovely right the way through the gain range. I could see myself using it without pedals in a band context - switching between channel A and B for two different general tones and the A+B together for a boost.

Tremolo sounds awesome- it can go really deep (with a wide and complex waveform) but not super fast.

Reverb is really lush and long. Sounds like a 3 spring at a guess. It’s much more complex and smooth than what I’d use for surf- it’s more like a studio reverb.
