Mr Glyn's Integrity Humbuckers (Demo)

Post by Zaulkin »

Hey guys,

Recently I was able to get my hands on Mr Glyn's guitar which has his lovely Integrity pickup set installed. The guitar is a PRS SE Santana - not exactly an expensive guitar, but man I enjoyed playing it, and it sounds amazing with these pickups installed.

I was seriously impressed with the quality of these humbuckers. They are clear and crisp, and I feel they bring out the nuances in your playing at lower gain levels. So far I have been able to try most of Mr Glyn's range and they are seriously GAS inducing. And if I haven't bleated enough about his P90s - I have been wanting a set of Black Sand P90s ever since I tried them at the Gearfest. Might have to settle for some Tuis for now.

Demo below. Let me know what you think!

**Edit: These pickups are now called 'Integrity'.

Nice demo - some excellent playing! Do you think that the amp/pedal board you have makes a big difference to how the pickups sound?

Thanks mate!

The amp I recorded with is a single channel amp with EL34s and one tone knob, which achieves some nice organic sounds. My amp reaches early breakup pretty quick, so that may have contributed a very teeny bit of extra grit to the sound, as apposed to an ultra clean fender amp with a pedal.

I did try the pickups with different amps/pedals/models and the same clear characteristics came through.

I really like Mr Glyn's description of them on his website, because I read it after I tried out the pickups for a week and I would've come to the same conclusion. Crisp, chimey cleans with control under your fingers, then well behaved and articulate with gain tones.

They seem to be really popular. I liked what I heard from demos online. Huge strat tones.

Cheers man! :)

It's a lovely guitar. I'm a touch jealous of it.
