Fender Pure Vintage Jazzmaster Knob Alternatives

Post by ReidySetGo »

Really like the look of these to replace the Strat knobs on my Jazzmaster but at $65 I can't justify it.

I've had a quick look at Ali Express & Guitar Parts and can't find anything similar, does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives or any other cool looking knobs for an Olympic White Jazzmaster

No pictures ? Try taking a trip to Jaycar to see what they have, you might find something that appeals...

There should be a picture now, I didn't think of Jaycar that could be a good shout.

I was looking for knobs to replace the fairly naff ones on my Streamliner. I priced out the nice metal TV jones ones but too $ for me, so a trip to Jaycar sorted it for me. I like them better anyway.

Yeah, Fender parts are pricey. There are these cheap ones that look similar if you're not too pedantic. The numbers are round the other way and the lettering and shape is a little different. Presumably you have split-shaft pots of you're using Strat knobs at the moment, so these might go straight on.

Don't think we've seen this Jazzmaster. What sort?

Oh those look like they might do the trick.

It's a Fender CIJ JM66B with Lollars and a Mastery bridge here's a rubbish photo:

Thanks, it is for sure, does great things for the sustain and is always nice to not have strings popping out of the saddles.

Cheers Keon, it is for sure. How's your Goldtop LP hunt going? I've been admiring them ever since I saw James Doviak's one when he played with Johnny Marr at the Powerstation.

Allparts have some but the shipping is spendy.

Looks like a couple hits on Ebay? I would take a punt on Ebay uk to get reasonable shipping

Yeah this is looking like it will probably be the way to go. Kluson do some antique white ones which look he closest but the shipping would be $55 USD for $8 worth of knobs haha
