very similar to my first electric.. it was branded a "K" and cost 25 quid from Harveys exchange and mart in Ealing London
25 quid was about a weeks wages for my dad at the time so equivalent to about a grand nz now
it was completely unplayable and made of plywood
you can get an awful lot of squier for that these days

Not sure what is 16th fret join. Its a bolt on neck if this gives an answer.
