Struggling to keep knob stiff - any ideas?
I know not all of us are comfortable talking about these kinds of topics, but it can happen to anyone so I'd like to call on the experience of the forum.
...I have a pedal with a knob that I want to be harder to turn.
How fix?

erm..... pfizer?
Why harder to turn? is it not staying in place? Maybe an elastic band wrapped around the shaft (steady jb) under the knob (and he's gone....) so the band is in contact with both knob, shaft and pedal (explosion!!!!)

Yup, just want to make it stay in one position and more difficult for it to be bumped out of position.

Make a wee foam washer, remove the knob, put on the washer and put the knob back on slightly compressing the foam. That'll provide a bit of resistance.
Anal.
Sorry. My response was boring. LOL

Rog hastily googling to see who the fuck Paul Gilbert is...
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

I think mine was more practical, and I actually described an 'o ring' without actually calling it an 'o ring'....
so I win
