Can someone edumacate me about Germanium Fuzzes and give me some good ideas on what to look at locally? Are there silicon alternatives that will work? Not after that big muff smashing pumpkins thing (I have a Pumpkin Pi already) Or should I just go and order the Fulltone and be done with it?
Order the Fulltone and be done with it?
Is obviously the right answer. Why do you even need to ask?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Telecasters. Is there anything they can't do?
I've yet to have one mow my lawns.
Must turn up the treble

I'm loving the Whitfill Tele so much I'm considering getting him to make a Strat at well. I was originally lining up the classic sunburst / rosewood heavy relic combo, but unfortunately he's having difficulty exporting rosewood these days. Looks like it'll have to be a maple board.
Anyway, I was looking around at various colour combinations for maple necks. Thought about going for something unusual. Shell pink, gold hardware, mint guard, beat to hell. Couldn't find an exact match that's been made, but this looks pretty close. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Spring is the comic sans of reverbs anyway.

The pink, the mint, the maple but NOT the gold. My 2 cents!
+1 on the no gold hardware. How about a gold body though? Not Aztec, something more like a Gibson.
Whatever you do, make sure you have an Ash body with a maple neck. And relic is good, but that blue Strat is plain silly. Nobody’s guitar would ever get in that state unless they were a complete moron.
My #1 choice would be white for a battered Strat but that’s just me.
All the rest is IMHO of course.

Yeah I'm 50/50 on the gold hardware. Not usually a fan, but on a really subtly coloured and heavily beat-up guitar I quite like it.

Sonic Blue for a Strat.
Branching out a little, are ya? Not a Sonic Blue fan for some reason.

Also, why do all these relic guitars have bright white pickguards but the rest of the plastics are aged? Seems so out of place.

Not keen on white as I've already got a butterscotch Tele and keen on something out of the white/yellow spectrum. Like the idea of gold, but still holding out hopes for a Goldtop with P-90s one day.

I also have a Mary Kaye Strat with gold hardware just arrived, will be listed shortly.
There's my one exception to the 'no gold' rule.
Last Mary Kaye G.R. sold was one of the best looking Strats i've seen.

On the other end of the price scale (hopefully), I'm loving stuff Epiphone is putting out this year. This looks the shizzle, and sounds great too! I also love the lack of artist's name on the guitar!
