I love this clip, made me cry multiple times over the years. now has new meaning.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen
EVH's frantic, hot-rodded guitar playing was the reason why I decided to take up guitar playing.

Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen
Funny. It was listening to the first Van Halen album in a record store that sent me off into synths and samplers for twenty years. Not that I didn't admire the guitar playing, just couldn't stand the vacuous lyrical content and pompous rawkness of the whole thing ( I was too old even back then ). Walked out with the first Dixie Dreggs album instead..werdna wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 9:31 am EVH's frantic, hot-rodded guitar playing was the reason why I decided to take up guitar playing.

Sad though, great guitar innovator.

I'll never forget sliding that first album cassette into the car tape deck and what erupted from those Jensen speakers. Adios atomic punk.

Fuck...
Hang 'em High was the first VH I ever heard and I remember that moment like it was yesterday. Total fucking game-changer.
