Can anyone in Welly help me shop a guitar?

There's a beaten Vester strat on trademe I'd like but the dude isn't keen on shipping (no case). I'm in Auckland which isn't really an easy drive away.
Just wondering if anyone here could help out? I've shipped fender style guitars before by taking off the neck and taping it all up in a box with some bubble wrap. Im not precious about the guitars condition but if anyone is willing to lend a hand then we can talk compensation for the time and ballache.

Would the seller be open to dropping off at a shop?
Touch base with the Rock Shop. They’ve been known to facilitate shipping from store to store for people. Might charge a bit.
They’ll almost certainly donate a guitar box.
If they can’t do that, pm me and I can get a quote to ship from our companies Wellington store to Auckland warehouse.

Rockshop to my knowledge will only go as far as providing you with a box (one less for them to dispose of).Their logistic insurance only covers their stock so "personal" items presents a PITA that most CBF'd with ETCCapt. Taking the neck off is the best way to go,smaller box and less hassle

Seller is in Newtown if that's any help? I don't know Wellington suburbs that well.

Link?? ... if it is the guy that "tries" to sell them in manawatu the don't do it. I have bought 3 vesters in the last 8 years and pay $50 each for them
If Less is More Then Just Think How Much More More would be

Nah it's the one with vesta in the listing title. Looks like a black stage series. I had a white one and rather enjoyed it and I'm a sucker for a project. It's the only lefty one I've seen in a while so what the hell.

So many memories, I had a Hondo Strat as my first guitar, sold that and bought a Vester stage series, metallic red, much more my thing at the time, find memories of that guitar, but like Frank Spencer and some mother's do ave em, it's probably best left as fond memories

My last Vester was great fun. Really nice neck once you sand off the inch thick poly. I rewired it and swapped the pickups for some alnico ones I had lying about and it was a lot of fun, sounded like a strat. Then someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
