Re: Johnnys cabs.... *Lots of progress*
Ok, wasn't happy with the front, it was too tight, it fit but a pita too remove. So I stripped it back took a few mm off it and knocked it up a notch...
So progress to completion pics!
This is the faceplate I cadded and emblemsz made...
and two tone...
and a funky angle
and another
and the back.... removable panels - I'd probably leave the top one, but middle and bottom could be removed. Lovely tight fit (ooh-err) so a seatbelt loop added to help.
now fully clothed

Very nice, the front panel looks good too. Did you consider a strip of piping across the colour change line?

Yes. Thats why there is one there. Apparently its 'Gold' but I think its more a dark brown. My proper camera has a flat battery. I'll charge and remove the glue residue and take some album pics over the weekend

The two tone finish was only decided a couple of hours ago, it was even more subtle on black/black.

That looks so good with the cream tolex. Great job on the faceplate too. Happy to hear about the abundance of gain

I reckon it's more of a camouflage than a gold or brown

I was surprised at the colour, I'd expected the more marshall colour, which apparently is Bronze.MikeC wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 7:20 pmI reckon it's more of a camouflage than a gold or brown
I love this between black and cream though, its quite a merging colour.

I’m impressed what you’ve done with the slanted speaker grill

Its not pointing at your ears but its better than your knees
Great to meet you this morning, hope you have fun with this one! I learned a lot from it and it turned out the best build I've done so far!
