The new Roadworn 60's Strats recently announced - Lake Placid Blue and Firemist - my 2 favourite Strat colours so gassing over both of them. Tonemaster Deluxe Reverb - the best sounding non-tube amp I've ever heard. Some kinda vintage Les Paul thanks to my work colleague who is an expert on Les Pauls - he's got me hooked.

werdna wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2020 11:41 am Tele partscasters. Each day I read Reverb, the Gear Page and Ebay. Key word Warmoth. I want a single bound, black tele body, fully loaded. The neck I can give or take. Wanting to get a Warmoth tele neck with Wolfgang profile. So much want. Yet last month it was Asher T-Deluxes. And next month, it'll be something else. I question whether I am in control any longer of my pastime.
I The tele partscasters are quite odd. Just when you find one that is not orange or a strange dark wood finish, and it doesn't have strat pickups or three humbuckers, and it doesn't have a top carve, then you discover it has a 24.75 inch neck, or the headstock is shaped like a hockey stick, or there is a Bigsby, or the neck profile is wizard. And they want $1,000 US.

A bound, black tele with nickel hardware and usual pickups gets everyone swooning (on this website).

The partscaster crowed above could have ordered a bound, black tele for the same money. An attractive guitar, and one that they could sell when they needed to. But instead they chose the neon green paint job, and raised section on the body like a Firebird, a boat neck profile, a headstock shaped like a joker's hat, and three strat pickups.
In life, don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Good choice! I've had the Tonemaster Twin Reverb for a few months. Sounds and reacts just like the tube version (really), but half the weight, with a very useful built-in attenuator and no maintenance to worry about. A lot cheaper too. I love it and would never go back to the tube version. Nice solid pine cabinet too (the standard reissue tube Twin Reverb doesn't come in a pine cabinet, it's mdf).

No GAS but I'd like this snow to stop. Daydreaming about a hot, sunny day and an open road. Over the weather.
