So after investigating importing a fancy pickup for a modded pbass project, I picked up a set of SD NYC soapbars for less than importing one.
I’ve had this All Parts Jazz neck/ pbass body bass for ages thought it timely to add something new. The new pups be set up with concentric knobs and a little switching to alternative with the coil options

Just, wow...
I don't even want to think about how that plays. Or looks. Or sounds.

Does anyone have a strong opinion on Squier Vintage Modified vs Classic Vibe Jazz Basses? I'm thinking of getting a cheap bass to muck around with and to these are meant to be a big step up from entry level. For reference the VM is about $160 cheaper.

I've tried a couple of CV Jazz Basses. Really do rate them. I feel they are a step up from the VM basses. :-)
