What sort of wattage will you be going for on V2? I guess that will dictate tube choices etc??

Hey thanks for the message. Actually there will be 2 amps
another 2w and 18w

2w:

will be adding another tube/ or knob to separate the gain and the clean later on. I had the word 'portable' in mind when i was making and on the drive section, the clean becomes the gain level. It gets annoying over small gigs. The reason for another one is I use the 2w for live so I dont have time to take it apart. Here are the future mods.

1.) Separate gain and clean
2.) Add footswitch
3.) ADD Robinette Reverb Circuit
4.) Move internal circuit to back of the amp
5.) Buffered Bypass.

Once the new amp is made, the old amp will be modified to the same spec. one will go to rob when im back in nz.

18w with reverb:

1.) Will run 2x 6V6..

I've been listening to too much John Mayer recently and although I can get a dumble tone out of the katana with the taichi I still want one

I would mod the split switch though, move and add another 0.01uF cap to keep the high voltage DC off of the front panel switch, its safer and and the switch will last longer.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Original. Keeps the switches and knobs separate which to my mind, makes it more intuitive to use.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
