Ouch! Is this an injury from the powerlifting days?Mini Forklift wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 10:50 am No GAS right now as I need to start saving for back surgery
Have had major pain for a while, found out I had a ruptured disc so got a nerve blocker & cortisone injection but it didn't work. Went back this week to see my Orthopedic surgeon and now I'm in line for a L5/S1 Discectomy. Oh the joy
What are you gassing for?

Re: What are you gassing for?
Yeah, it's old but not directly from powerlifting/weight training. Just something that's always been 'there' and very occasionally flares up; have been suffering with it this time around for around 4 or 5 months with it gradually getting worse. Don't want to have to rely on painkillers, which have now become a near daily thing unfortunately

Always something I'm gassing for but met a guy today to see about a deal on his Les Paul. Made me want a Les Paul. Funny that.
Excuse me while I open this can of worms I've just retrieved from a rabbit hole.

I’d quite like something a bit pointy for a change

Shouldn't have sold a lot of things but if I didn't I couldn't inch my way up. That said, with prices the way they are there's gear I've let go that I'm unlikely to be able to afford again. Still, I've a better rig than I can justify so need to be grateful for that.

Absolutely nothing
Loving the LP, my old Strat scratches the Hendrix itch nicely and I probably have too many pedals rather than not enough

Speaking of 20w tube amps, I do like the look of the Marshall Studio Vintage combo. It is very pretty and claims to do the Plexi thing at useable volume.
