It's hard to capture it, but it's really nice in person. I'm told it's quite rare to get flaming on the back.

Looks awesome! What are the differences between classics and standards? Is it the plain top and the uncovered pickups? I’m by far in the minority but I do not like flame maple, the plain top looks way better to me!

Classic has some weight relief (more than a traditional, less than a standard), hotter pickups, coil taps and a 60's profile neck.
Apparently Plain tops, uncovered pickups and kidney tuners on classics too.
