NGD: Gibson 61 SG Antique Ebony

Just got this in yesterday, having heaps of fun with it so far. 2007 '61 RI in Antique Ebony with Gold Harware.
The Gold is a little bling-y, but not jarringly so.

It sounds full and resonant, and those 57 classics are pretty nice into the Marshall.
Gonna leave it stock for now, it makes for a nice counterpart to the Strats.

Black & gold, always reminds me of the 'classy' smoke of the 70's - John Player Special. I don't think you see them these days.

Don't let that put you off though, your guitar looks great :D
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Nice looking guitar! Can we talk about that amp though, looks like it’s had some mods?

Looks great.

Is that a UK plug-board I spy? I still have a few of those in the shed for all the stuff I can't be arsed to change the plug on.

Late 70s JMP, modded by John Suhr to Mike Landau spec, including his effects loop. BG recently re-tolexed it as the original had quite a few tears.

It’s one of those Belkin multi-plug things, it accommodates plugs from any country. Pretty handy to have around 🙂
