Re: Dumble Ods style low watt amp
Another quick update to you all. Been working on the amp and been fine tuning it and sanding some edges to make the gap between panels straighter. It's almost done. Just waiting for the basket weave to flatten and repaint the baffle matte black.
Now my question is, should I put the SRO (ev alnico) on this cab or keep it in the other larger cab? Otherwise I'll most likely put the fender speaker on this one. The amp needs some adjusting as well as the front panel. Ended up using beeswax(briwax) because it's convenient for home and it literally dries in 30 mins.
Sanded the panels to make it look straight. It's looking good.

Thanks guys!
Have installed the last piece. Thinking of staining it a little darker but won't bother doing it now. Will be putting the EV SRO through this cabinet. It'll be a tight fit due to the cab being a little small

Another update:
Sro fitted into the speaker cabinet and installed. The speaker just fits as planned and I may need to re-adjust the grill later on. Sounds beautiful. It sounds tight and punchy due to the cab size as opposed to the other larger cabinet haha. A few 12ax7 to play with like the Jan Phillips Military grade, matsushita (Mullard) sovtek, jj etc.. Have drilled a few more holes so will need some final cleaning later on. Ended up running Jan in V1, Matsushita in V2 Sovtek LPS and 6sn7 (USA MADE forgot the name) in the power section.
However I'm thinking of reconing the speaker. Cone works fine but its too old it starts to crack around the edges. I wouldn't trust the speaker at full volume.

Thanks will post sound samples this weekend or the weekend after. I used it with the spring reverb in the effects loop. Sounded killer!

I'd suggest you register for soundcloud and use that, you can then embed your clips with the soundcloud button when you create a postMarshmallow wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 2:30 am Recorded! some sounds awesome! Recorded some clips on my phone? How do I upload it?

Who's this amp going to, assuming someone on here has put dibs on it? Or are you keeping it?

I built it for myself so I am keeping it for a bit. Saying that, I am making a V2 of this in about a month including the 18w version. So 2 more amps for trial haha. Will need to do some adjustment on the V2 then I'll reajust this model. Once i've readjusted this, I wont need for two so it will definitely go to rob once I am back in NZ haha
