The last three things I have ordered from AliExpress never arrived, just ended up showing as 'In Transit' for months on end. Applied for a refund on all of them once I was a week or so past the expected delivery date, was refunded for all of them within 48 hours. No idea if they'll ever show up or not, thinking not

Still waiting on a cheap motorcycle comms set which left China a month ago. Doubt I'll see it at this rate. Similar deal with an order I placed on March that never arrived. Had a couple of wee things I was planning on buying but not going to bother anymore.

Lesson learned... ordered a pedal via AliExpress on 19/4/20. Now, more than 3 months later I'm waiting for a refund for non delivery. Ordered the same pedal yesterday from "stomperguitar" (TM vendor) and it showed up today! I was aiming to save about $12.00. Sometimes the savings aren't worth the cost...:mental:

$12?!

I reckon this mail BS that’s going on right now is going to hurt online sales. I’m simply not going to order from overseas until it calms down. eBay refund claims will be sky high. I lodged two in the last month. One item turned up after I got the refund so I wrote directly and paid them for the item. The other, missing in action. Where does all this shit end up?

I have an order from Crimson Guitars in the uk thats been in the post since the end of April, but as its below 100 pounds they dont do tracking - super annoying. Other item, some guitar bodies from the us have been in transit from San Fran since the 6th of June, so nearly 2 months now.

Have been looking at pedals from Ali, but not going to go there for a while, takes a month or so normally, prob take a year now....

My guess is they're waiting in Singapore or similar to be forwarded, seen reports of people having packages from China go to Zambia and were then repackaged and sent to NZ...

Mine are just over a month from purchase so not stressing yet...

This is where local retailers should be stepping up and pushing their goods (i dont mean cheaper but just making more of a presence)
saying that they are probably box shifting too...

GrantB wrote "$12?!" - yeah I know, I just did the calculation using today's USA exchange rate and the saving would have actually been $18.30 (on an item that just cost me $68.70 purchased on TM). Not worth the hassle!

Assuming they have them in stock I'd expect it would be all good.

Some headphones I ordered at the beginning of May from Ali express turned up yesterday, there's still hope!

Now have a Wampler Ego and a Ditto Looper on the way. Board is starting to come together!
Loving it so far

I was the only bid on that Pedal Tank Red Burst off TM yesterday. Will be interesting to see what a boutique hand wired pedal from Thailand will be like. Half expecting a rebrand...
