The way this guy switches between finger picking and using a pick is incredible!

No idea!! I'd be annoyed if I spent all that money and the binding didn't cover the maple cap!!!

I did a quick google of other vintage 57s and you can see the cap. It looks like a few were produced in solid mahogany so maybe it's one of them?
