Despite owning a Katana, theres a certain joy in playing thru the AC4 you can't describe

I'm after a vintage style Marshall 412 because I absolutely don't need it.

We're such suckers for a bit of bling. I think it was a smart bit of marketing by the guy that first realised you could take something ordinary like a guitar case and cover it in paisley or whatever and we'd all want one.
I like the Bogner Tolex. I'd buy a Bogner just because they look cool...

Yeap. And I'd crank it once, wife, neighbours, dog will all tell me to shut the fuck up, and then I'll be back to the plexi models on the Axe FX through headphones. But at least I could stare at it and pretend it was making the noises in my ears...Molly wrote:We're such suckers for a bit of bling. Re: What are you gassing for?
Don't understand myself sometimes. I never get on with Humbuckers and I can't get comfortable with Les Pauls but occasionally, twice in fact, all that changes and I fall in lust. Both of those guitars were 57 Goldtops (AiRdAd's and Oleg's).
Bugger me if it hasn't happened again. Met this in the Albany Rockshop today.
Neck like a tree trunk; Glorious! Nicely ringy and an almost convincing finish. I loved everything about it except the price.
Can't understand why 57's seem to fit me but nothing else really does.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

^^^ LP 50s Tribute. Thick neck no gold no binding no bling just the goods. Needs pickups swapped and pcb replaced with 50s wiring. Mine cost $1100 not $9000.

57 Gold Tops are my favourite, I would take one over any other LP, they just look right to meSlowy wrote:Don't understand myself sometimes. Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Mate, there’s no scenario where I pay anything like that much for a guitar.KNNZ wrote:have you tried asking Conway? maybe he can bring one in at a better price
