I did take it that you were, but fully! Seems like a lot of work, with the associated f-up potential. Their version of a bigsby has the same type of roller over the strings and that is the schizzle.GrantB wrote:I was half joking, but I know it's been done before. That's where bigsby works well, low string take off point. The Duesey trems work so well though... work of art they are.Lostininverness wrote:I'll bear that in mind for the next one, thanks !GrantB wrote:Counter sink the trem

Re: NGD: Jazzmaster/Jaguar hybrid
Is 5 coats enough? I layered it on pretty thick the last 2 coats, dont want to deaden the resonance too much!

As long as you concentrated on the edges and you don't mind wear through. yes.Reg18 wrote:Is 5 coats enough? I layered it on pretty thick the last 2 coats, dont want to deaden the resonance too much!
Looks like you need to flatten it too - there goes 3 coats.

Hmmm Might add another couple tomorrow for good measure. Neighbours will undoubtedly be sick of the sound of a compressor switching on and off by this time of the dayBg wrote:As long as you concentrated on the edges and you don't mind wear through. yes.Reg18 wrote:Is 5 coats enough? Definately give it more. It'll rub through pretty quickly when you're polishing it up.

Re: NGD: Jazzmaster/Jaguar hybrid
seriously, I'd give it at least 3 coats per day over the next 3 days. Flattening every day. Then leave it a few days before hitting it for a final go.
