Six years without strings?

Post by Kris »

theres a sad guitar on TM at the moment (no money but...scuff scuff). No strings in the pic so asked how long it had sat and...SIX years.Im guessing this aint a prob if you slacken the truss but what if he hasnt?I have an inbuilt superstition about this even though practical brain tells me it should be fine.Cave man good think or wrong think?

It’ll need a grant tickle, but even that may not solve neck issues, assuming worst case.

It depends where it was sat for those 6 years. That's the info that will help. A good tech can fix almost anything and as long as a guitar was kept out the sun and excessive humidity it should be alright.
