Yep. Final Cut Pro (noob) tip #344: Muting an audio track does not take it out of the mix. You must pull down the corresponding channel fader.

Sorry folks.
Will re-upload tonight.

Na man, I thought that was some real slick documentary style editing right there. Thought you were getting real clever - leave it in!

Yep me too... it sounds awesome.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Just a corksniffers reference note, those '56 P90's are essentially half a PAF....you can hear the honky, scooped woody tone in there...quite PAF like. Sniff.

How would they compare to 60's Tribute SG P90's ? Mine seem to be pretty honky too are they essentially the same ?

Other way around... A PAF is two halves of a P90. Same wire, same magnet, same poles, same bobbin height, same total number of turns.

Modern Gibson P90's sound good. I have left the ones in my R4 stock as they sound great. Main differences will be, different materials used, different winding, different design, magnet construct and length, 56 years of aging. Still, as I say, the modern ones are good.

Vintage P90's have been well known donors of long PAF magnets...to short mag PAF owners.

Close, but not exactly the same. The SST30 has 4x 6V6, although it doesn't actually have that much more output compared to the 2x 6V6 AST (due to low supply voltages), but the preamp in the SST30 is slightly more complex too.
