Ohh I'll have to make some time to watch that. He's a captivating player, and it's really easy to listen to him talk about music.

That second sentence is oh-so-true for me! Just mesmerising. He speaks like he plays. And I really like how Rick just let him talk and ramble. I have never watched a Rick Beato interview before, not sure if that's typical of his style, but I appreciated it here.

Wow. Canon in D is one of my mainstay acoustic guitar workouts. I can hang with her to 1.47 but from there on....Lawrence wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 6:26 pm not guitar...but every music lesson you ever needed...holy f**k

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Yeah, this is great and I'm only about halfway through it. So much to enjoy, from his stories about recording with Marr and his LP that he wrote 'Stand By Me' on I feel like I have a permanent smile on my face. I grew up with Oasis and Blur but I didn't appreciate their music then as much as I do now
I like the new album too, it's only had one listen so far but seemed a bit mellower than some of his other stuff

Man she was good. Again, another artist I grew up with but never really appreciated when they were around. She is 20 years old here, I can't imagine me knowing any of these chords at that age (hell, probably even now), let alone linking them all together seamlessly and singing over the top of them
I guess some of us are just born with natural talent
