If like me you've never been able to play rhythm guitar on Van Halen songs and sound like EVH, here's why you and probably no-one else can. Legit explanation of EVH's rhythm playing greatness.

I was going to post that here. The end part is actually mind boggling.

Ed's rhythm playing is similar to Malcolm Young. AC/DC stuff always sounds easy then you listen to some isolated tracks and realise how much is actually going. on.

Totally mind boggling. EVH was an all-rounder, but his extraordinary rhythm playing has often been glossed over.

I play swing like I dance. Like a stiff.

EVH tried to find some kind of blues or groove. Impossible with folk.

While I was trying to figure out how an Ibanez pedal could go for over $1000 I came across this vid.

Tim Pierce takes the second solo slot and drops some of the smoothest phrasing I've heard in a while.... still dont know much about the pedal but better for finding this vid anyway.

I've just watched that video and was on my way here to post this.

Really loved watching that, he's certainly mellowed these days.

Looking forward to listening to his new album this afternoon I think.

This is one of the best interviews I've ever seen him give, as a big Oasis fan, I was enthralled for the entire couple of hours. So much honesty and magic in that, loved it :)
