Bruce, instead of a stool, you should replace all your pedals with MIDI controllable equivalents, and program MIDI sequences to control your board. You’ll just need to make your drummer play to a click track, never vary your arrangements/song structures, and learn how to program MIDI. Simple.
Yep. I can really see that as a solution
Actually the Band has had exactly this discussion; they're keen.
The 'replace all my pedals' bit is something of an obstacle though. I may have said something rude.

Why aren't your pedals off-stage in a rackmount drawer unit, with your guitar tech making all the changes at the right time? Aren't you paying them enough?

Just go direct to amp, no pedals needed.

FWIW I keep my pedal board very minimal because I don’t have the coordination to do more then a boost on/off mid song, and I don’t have a hole in my head as an excuse.

Surely you could control "pedals" from an ipad on a stand?! Kemper in your future?
I may be irreverent.

I've tried that. It genuinely doesn't sound as good. I have magic pedals rather than magic fingers.

That's the concept exactly. I wonder if it could be adapted...
