I've been looking for a Small Clone for ages but they've disappeared from view. Chorus has its moments, just like everything else I suppose. Modulated reverb or delays are fun.

Looking forward to the June 60 arriving, a behringer dimension c clone would be fun too…

The funny thing is that I've always found that a "normal" guitar chorus pedal works much better with bass than a specifically bass tuned one. They just seem to help the bass cut through better.

yeah, like I've always found the bass whammy pedal better on guitar than the guitar whammy pedal.

Hooky tone though is specific period Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory- the new ones aren't noisy enough apparently, there are many pages dedicated to it.

I just use any old thing.

But in that song he does say "take it to the chorus" which I assume is a reference for the guitarist to take his guitar to the chorus pedal.
That's all the proof I need!

From what I gather, early 90s Zakk Wylde was wah, rotovibe, SD-1 and a Boss chorus, so I'm contractually obliged to be in favour of it.

I’ve never found a use for Chorus personally, it just reminds me of what I described in my teens as the boring music my parents listened too. Obviously in hindsite I can recognise there was some good music but it’s like a hardwired thing now, I cringe a little every time I hear chorus. Now I’m the old Dad still listening to grunge and my kids hate it! No doubt they will be hard wired to hate the sound of grungy hard rock guitars!

It's back, baby...

... but still not for me. I just can't do it. Modulation in my reverbs and delays is enough for me.

Sure was! CH-1 and then CE-5 I believe. Indeed, you'll notice that the MXR Zakk chorus that appears after that era has suspiciously identical controls to a CE-5  :shh:

Chorus got me into trying a stereo rig, as it's the only stereo pedal I had. I find it addictive once on as it makes things sound wide and turning it off takes a while to get used to again.

Like Hamo I did originally use it due to Zakks rig. I still have the analog Boss CE-5 on the spares shelf due to this.

Currently using an old Ibanez BC9 Bi-mode chorus as it's more of a true stereo chorus vs the wet/dry outputs Boss and other variants have. For whatever reason the dry always seems louder in the Boss IR200 loop with other Chorus pedals.

The Rotovibe chorus effect and Whammy detune are also fun.

My first chorus was one of those pink peavey ones I got in the 80s with the weird switch which was shaped like half a squash ball…

It's back so much that I bought a smelly and expensive TC Electronics thing. Wouldn't mind a CE-2 or CE-1 as well
