Did they work? I mean, no substitute for actual practice, but could be a useful way to spend a train ride.
Not as well as spending a few weeks with Slowy's Korinacaster, but yes they do.

I had to use something similar as part of my physio rehab after I broke a finger on my fretting hand. Once I'd got most of my movement back, I noticed I could play better.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I had to suffer from a mild carpal tunnel syndrome a couple of years back. Took me about 3 months to get better.

I mean, I wish I was practicing. Or doing anything at all really. But my lazy gene is the dominant one.

Anyhow, would you require the same bending approach to a high action vs low action guitar?

Missed this thread the first time around. If its a Paul Gilbert lick then the key is your facial expression, I dont think Paul can play a bend without them.

I definitely prefer medium action for bending. The tip of my finger pushes the neighbouring strings out of the way. If they're too low, they end up slipping under my fingertip.

Certainly agree with running 9's and using any extra fingers. A guitar with a shorter scale length should help a bit too.

I came here to post about penis fingers - but realise that I’ve already done so.

So I’ll quote the great Jake E Lee: “it doesn’t “haaaaave” to be in tune…..”
