Well, as an update I decided to get a cheapo UHF IEM system, through the US website as it was cheaper than Ali Express... Phenyx Pro PTM-10 IEM system. 20MHz of NZ legal bandwidth in UHF with 89 frequencies, and stereo. (I use mono, but handy if you want a second IEM mix to a 2nd receiver from the single transmitter.) Will update once I've had a decent hoon on it.

Update time.
Been using the PTM-10 IEM system 500MHz band for a few months now. Audio quality is acceptable, it loses a little bass, sounding slightly thinner compared to the cabled headphone amplifier. However, it's not bad for analogue wireless audio. There is little compander hiss and its obviously running a noise gate. Of course these minor details one notices in a quiet room, are completely forgotten when playing live with the band. No discernable latency, no reception issues no distractions. I forget I'm using it and get to enjoy making music. The included earbuds are crap, I'm using my SE215s. Now that I've used this a few times, I'm happy with it.
Pros: NZ legal frequncies, easy to use, no latency, handy carry case, good signal, decent durability, price
