No, just well cured, proper nitro paint, dumped in a freezer for about 4 hours, and done. I did knock it and ding it a little bit prior, so those lines would head in those directions as they would naturally.

Maybe...I'd do it though. Maybe have it in the sun for a bit, warm it, then drop it in for a short period of time initially. Watch the progress.sizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 12:28 pm I wouldn't freeze a hollow body, all those glue joints...
The biggest challenge is, modern nitro as these companies apply it, is less likely to crack in a natural way. So, to get a good look one might end up leaving it too long...and yeah, compromising the glue.

You could just take the shine off with Napthalene ( coopers camping stove fuel )

Artful work with a ball peen hammer adds accents pre sanding. Mind this is nitro and not poly.

Re: Finish Molestation.
Use a cloth to apply and rub evenly. If it's not taking enough off use something more abrasive ( as others have posted ) to apply. Try not to inhale any, it's orrible crap.Slowy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 8:28 pmHow would you control it?Dharmajester wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 5:00 pm You could just take the shine off with Napthalene ( coopers camping stove fuel )
