or you could graft a PRS headstock on there and have a properly "designed" guitar
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Get a better guitar. What are you doing with a LP Jnr anyway?! That's not a Slowy guitar.
Now there you are wrong. A really resonant LP Jnr is exactly a Slowy guitar. It's Gibson's Esquire.

Lift string, scrub nut slot with a pencil, put string back, problem solved!

I really wish it were that simple. if the nut is cut (very) well, the pencil should fix it.

It won't be.

Does that refer to the neck dive?

Maybe it is referring to the fact that the G string has its own "force" and does whatever the hell it wants?

I know the consensus appears to be that it’s a nut issue but I just recently had to replace the tuners on my Tokai LP because there was too much play in a couple of them and it made tuning a PITA. I replaced them with a set of these Gotohs, https://www.guitarparts.co.nz/tuning-ma ... ickel.html which look exactly the same as the ones that were on there. Given it’s a Japanese guitar the originals probably were Gotohs. Not sure why they didn’t last long as Gotoh hardware is great. Anyway, cool story short, it was definitely the tuners and not the nut that was at fault in this case.

Yeah, too much play in tuners is a real pain.
