Re: Chase Bliss Automatone PREAMP MKII
Pretty tempting for both geek coolness and great tones in that video, but then I reckon its building on a pretty good clean sound, and a big part of it just sounding better when he turns it on with flat dials could be achieved by turning the amp up a touch.
It does look pretty good for I want out of a fuzz pedal. Have seen some pretty sweet amps go for less than the cost of that pedal recently though, so won't be ordering one today.

I'm sure it'd be nice to have on your board for internet pointz, but damn if that isn't a buttload of money for a distortion pedal.
Loving it so far

Re: Chase Bliss Automatone PREAMP MKII
are there cheap mixers out there where the motorised faders can be controlled by midi? just get an 8 channel one of them, put a different OD/DS/Fuzz in each channel and voila! bodgied one up for cheaper....

Re: Chase Bliss Automatone PREAMP MKII
In one interview the creator was asked about the pedals' robustness in gigging situations, including exposure to errant pints or three. I can't remember his answer exactly but I think it was fairly non-committal...

Re: Chase Bliss Automatone PREAMP MKII
Does anyone know if its an analog OD circuit beneath the digital controls? cause I don't think digital drives sound any good personally, and I can get a ton of joyo clones for the price of this one unit

Isn’t the Chase Bliss mantra “digital brain, analogue heart”.

Re: Chase Bliss Automatone PREAMP MKII
Yea it’s a crazy amount for an overdrive pedal (or any pedal), but I know that if it’s not my thing or too expensive I can easily sell it for what I paid for it given how hard they are to obtain. 4 of them came into NZ this week and they were all sold before they even arrived.
