Practise amp with bluetooth headphones?

Post by StratMatt »

Hey guys,

I'm wanting to get a bit of a lounge practise friendly setup happening. Something like a Katana Air/Mini or Yamaha THR but I'd want to be able to listen through my bluetooth headphones. I could hook up the wire to a headphone out, but thats no fun. Does such a thing exist or do I need to add in a dongle to make it work?

Just trying to get my head around it. I know about the Boss headphones, but probably more than I want to spend.

Thanks.

Would latency be an issue with this? I was using bluetooth head phones out of a DAW on a Mac and had to much latency so had to go back to cable

Yeah that could be an issue. Might just be better to get a Katana and plug the headphones in when I want to be quiet. I guess thats why the new Boss wireless cans are a thing.

I think latency would definitely be an issue, I know some
Apps warn about Bluetooth. Loopi software is one. I’m pretty sure any lag would kill the enjoyment factor
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.
