Recommendations: tuner pedal

Tuners are boring but important, kinda like tax law or dietary fibre. Any recommendations outside the TU-3 / Polytune usual suspects?

I've had the Korg pitch black on my board for about 7 years. It just works. Easy to read, accurate, looks kinda cool as far as tuners go and also has a power out outlet to daisy chain other pedals.

+3 for Pitchblack

Big fat bars on the display, no fancy features that I don't use, and I have developed a preference for angled not flat pedals.

I've had a number of pitchblacks, polytunes, and now a TU-3, that's probably my favourite, but if you have the cash.... seriously get a sonic research turbo tuner, they rule!

An alternative to the Korg Pitch Black, is the Korg Pandora Stomp. You get the same easy to see tuner function plus an effects pedal with a drum machine & it's a headphone amp.
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.

Just get the Boss. I got my TU2 in 2004 when I started playing music again, and it’s been the one constant on my board for 15 years, guitar and bass.

If it ever dies i’ll Get a TU3, or whatever the current one is by the time that happens.

Yeah, Boss Tuner gets my vote as just a good all round reliable workhorse. And accurate

However if you have a bit more spare cashola I’d have a look into a Peterson Strobe Tuner

Boss is just as good but I chose The Noir mainly coz of its size and color

I don't think reliability is a factor. At least my experience is that pitchblacks and polytunes don't die either.

I always found that Boss tuners didn't quite agree with my ear. Nice to know Lee Anderton agrees. Will see what comes up on TradeMe, but any of your suggestions look good.

I don't really use a pedal tuner anymore. Just one of those $5 joyo clip-on tuners. I have a TU2 kicking around, it's pretty decent.
