How cool. It never ceases to amaze me the new and interesting things that people come up with! I wonder about battery life?

Re: Tonewood gadget
back in the late 70s/ early 80s there was a completely passive reverb device for acoustics...it mounted on the front behind the bridge. I remember it sounding pretty good - but I suspect with modern ears it would be tinny.

Re: Tonewood gadget
I'd imagine this works by using an exciter (basically a speaker without a cone) I have a couple at home I'm yet to experiment with but you can turn any surface into a speaker, it's pretty cool!

Re: Tonewood gadget
Like it passively repeats the sound induced into it a little behind the source - producing a kind of echo/reverb?

Re: Tonewood gadget
I used to have a couple of bass exciters in my first MX5, they would thump you in the back like a bass thump, without the thump. Pretty sure bmw z3 had them fitted as standard at one point.jeremyb wrote:I'd imagine this works by using an exciter (basically a speaker without a cone) I have a couple at home I'm yet to experiment with but you can turn any surface into a speaker, it's pretty cool!
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Wow it sounds nice. Might be a bit bulky for my liking, what do you reckon?Lawrence wrote:its still aroundMike Clayton wrote:Wow, any idea how it worked?Lawrence wrote:back in the late 70s/ early 80s there was a completely passive reverb device for acoustics...it mounted on the front behind the bridge.
