Yeah. I bought this two years earlier for $40 from Masterpiece Music in Invercargill. It wasn’t working correctly, but only needed one of the feedback wires re-soldered when I got it home. These have gone for up to US$1K on eBay over the years.

I always pop into any second-hand store if nearby in hope of finding a hidden gem of my own one day. But alas, it has yet to happen.

Just a plug for the Origin effects Halcyon gold klon OD - one of the few drives/transparent drives that plays REALLY well with a jazzmaster.

That "mod" setting really has some special sauce added. The instant I plugged it in I know one of us was owning it.

Yeh I’ve always despised pedals with those tiny switches but I agree that makes this a very usable pedal.
Get some smooth creamy stuff for the neck pickup for sure and great clean but gritty tones on the bridge. Delightful !

I was listening to a podcast the other day and they were talking about a drive pedal that had one of those mini toggles, and it was added because the creator couldn't decide between two component values for part of the circuit, you have to wonder if its one of those situations :-)

Mod setting seems to leave a little more bass and not have quite as sharp a mid spike. Probably less useful in a band setting, but sounds fantastic at home

Have had one of them for a while. Sorry Bruce. This Halcyon Gold is head and shoulders above any Klone I've heard, at least for my ears.
