Interesting re the TS808HW. I just got one...much better clarity and attack than current production.

But, still lacks bass....UNTIL, you plug in a Strat. I don't know what's going on, but I prefer my Nobels, Greer type circuits for buckers, but the 808 sounds really good with a Strat.

Sidebar - the MI Audio Blues Pro is still my fav 808 themed pedal to date (is it 808 themed?> Shit, doubting myself now). It's just so balanced and rich.
Theres some magic in the 808 for sure, I think the blues pro is based on the tube screamer but not necessarily an 808, however... strats lack in the mids dept so a mid push from a tubescreamer is just magic, my guess is even though the lightspeed is another tubescreamer it perhaps lacks as much of a mid push just like the ODR-1 so both likely work better with a tele or les paul

This is the ODR1 to have. It almost makes my actual ODR seem like a pale imitation.
Mr. Wampler, take yet another bow.
That is indeed the ODR I have and it is a monstrous beast. Love it.

Haven't checked it out yet, but if it's anything like the POG II, it'll be cool :-)

I still have not owned a POG. I only recently worked out what POG stands for. EHX and their funny names. They are not shy to do outside the box stuff. I am not creative enough these days for a POG. I am stuck on bog standard overdrives etc. I have a stash of unfinished riffs stowed away somewhere between my ears and none of them need that poly octave sound. Maybe I should get one and have some fun with it. :)

I've owned the POG-2 twice and constantly have to stop myself pulling a trigger the third time. Great pedal for solo/loop work. Great way to get booted out of a band, too.

I am watching EHX's vid now. It does some cool stuff. Freeze. Octaves. 5ths. Whammy. Panning. If had pedals for all that stuff, i could sell them and get this thing.
I like the Bach sounding stuff in the vid too. In the 80s I got hooked on that neoclassical thing, so used to try to steal licks from Bach sheet music. I would have loved this pedal in those days. Probably only an Eventide Ultra Harmonizer could do that stuff and they used to cost more than a house just about.

POG-2 was waaaay beyond what my MD-500 can do. My main issues with the POG-2 were the limitations of mono and some subtle tracking delay (may have just been my bad playing, though). If those are fixed I'm the new one then it should be a winner.

I loved my pog2 but also had same issues with mono and its dominating the sonic space...the new stereo and routing options and expanded presets have me fizzing for the 3 :mental:

Forgive me if I'm late to the party but this is exactly Slowy's idea of digital modelling.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I got one. Just perfect for what I need. And with a 2 button switch you get control of Tap tempo - Distortion - Mod - Delay (or reverb if that's your thing) on the floor or on the desk

That's the impression I got; everything you need at your toe tips and nothing you don't.

If I was still gigging, I might just go there.

Never said I was perfect.
