Tell me more! Do you stack them for a lead tone or how do you use them?

Usually one as a coloured clean boost into the other as a slightly dirty crunch. Which in which order depends in my mood.

At the moment I'm using the Saint Mantis as a clean boost/bass cut into the Hotcake. It makes it less sludgy. OCD does boosting well, but even with the tone rolled up can't hide Hotcake sludge. Still works great with a bright, clean Vox though!

Interesting, I found the hotcake sounded better with a clean boost after it, so I have my spark boost after it too just give me more hotcake, not that I turn the spark off, it’s always on with the Strat…

Try the Hotcake as a clean boost into a overdrive! Can get a wicked range of tones with the presence control going one way or another.

Not that I have a functioning preserve control on my Hotcake...

I found that the drive on the Hotcake played very nicely with single coil guitars I've had in the past, but with humbuckers I've really taken to it as a clean boost to an overdriven amp. It also does really well sitting in front of a RAT in a clean boost setting, tidies up the low end - but not at the expense of its overall character.

This to me is the secret sauce to go on top of a hotcake. Amp has to be breathing already, otherwise it's fizz city (ime)
