Oh my - these are special guitars. I owned one for quite some time and it had to be the heaviest, worst sounding, most disgusting playing instrument I had ever had the distinction of owning...of course, I have since played worse.
Mine was virtually brand spanky new condition and I sold it for $50 in 1990. Didn't have a case though, so maybe this case is very special...

I guess marshall and mesa have it all wrong then.NO BACKS ON THESE CABINETS - NEVER HAD THEM. THE BACKS TENDED TO STIFLE THE SOUND - BACKLESS THEY CAN MOVE THE AIR AND ADDS LOTS OF BOTTOM END TO YOUR SOUND.
....
Sustain adding speakers, way cool.IF YOU HAVE A TUBE AMP YOU NEED THESE CABINETS !! IF YOU HAVE A GOOD TRANSISTOR OR VALVESTATE WITH A CHORUS - YOU NEED THEM EVEN MORE FOR THAT SUSTAIN YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR

philipnz, you miss the point...these will only add sustain if you have a valvestate or a good transistor amp AND a "chorus" - no other combination will give you this effect! Not even a "sustain" pedal or suchforth....

and also, I HAVE been looking for that sustain...I left with my Les Paul...but now, one trip to the pub and the LP has gone and lost it, claiming to be under the RnR influence! Maybe I will buy these cabs.
