Weta used to do stuff like that. you could also talk to Clay of Claytone effects, he's a talented guy and has fixed a pedal for me before.

Too bad he doesn't reply to emails...

Just had a pedal modded by Jeremy of Tinnitus Effects, he builds a whole bunch of stuff and probably does repairs.

I know some famous guitarists use Hotcakes. All I can think of ATM is Gordon Gano (Violent Femmes)

also Jansen: products - bassman amps

Greenstone amplifiers?
'71 Epiphone EA-250 (JP) or 84' Ibanez Roadstar II -> MXR Super Comp Compressor -> Ernie Ball VPjr -> Bluesberry Hotcake -> Visual Sound H2O V3 Chorus/Delay -> MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay -> '68 Jansen Bassman 50 -> Carvin 2x12 Celestion Seventy80 Cab

Dudes I really recommend Waylon McPherson at http://www.mcphersonmusic.co.nz/

He reco'd and hotted my Vox wah with Q control and EQ and an Eric Clapton 'white room' effect circuit board

In addition he fitted a rather clever idea of mine which I strongly recommend to all singing lead players;

I had him power a small LED on the end of a small lead, which lights up when you push the Wah to ON

This means the light is in my face (As i mount it at eye level on my mike stand) so that it flags me to turn it OFF again when I finish the solo and start vocals/rhythm again

Believe me a nice little blessing under pressure

I recommend you check him out he's not that expensive for what he does and the gear is much much nicer for the work

Really helped when recording our new album recently

Cheers to all

I recently had some of my pedals fixed and cleaned up by Jeremy Nolan in Petone (found him by asking ppl on FB) He seems to do stuff after hours at home.

Anyway, terrific work, would trade again and will.

Also can vouch for Waylon McPherson - he's sorted out a couple of issues on pedals (like re-biasing a Boss DM-2) and minor mods (like drykill switch on a dd5) for very reasonable prices and good turnaround. Easy to deal with. Even better (for me) he's just moved locally.

Claytone is also good to deal with and has done a couple of small jobs (can't remember what) with no issues.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Ben (Ampstig) has just given my Mesa a workover, including getting rid of a random pop or two. It now sounds like a Boogie should. Very nice bloke, great service, quick turnaround time. Rog recommends.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...
