If I say it enough it'll become a thing!
No, it won't though...
Only Peavey Classic 50 'Confused mids' became a thing, because he knew what he was talking about. No offence.
Look, I'm not going to be offended over something I just made up, I'm not a millenial!!

Purchased these two NOS Philips 12AT7s thru Ebay on 1st of April. They just arrived today (23 June) some 12 weeks later, posted from Sweden! I gave up on them over a week ago and applied for a refund which has been accepted but still hasn't shown up! Hope they fix my issues!

Cool but tell me you got the packaging. They come in a wooden box that’s perfect for keeping your stash.

What issues are you having? (question coming from a habitual tube roller)

In a Vibroverb built by moi (Reverb driver and PI) - the incumbent's (actually the reverb driver I think) are noisy/poppy/crackly - almost a little microphonic. I've read that modern 12AT7 tubes when used as the reverb driver in Fender amps are prone to this as they are running very high voltages (above 12AT7 specs) & are also being being pushed hard. I had nothing to "roll" to prove it....

Ahh so you're the one who snagged that. Just play the Time solo with it.

They just don't make them like they used to, eh? I'm a big fan of russian military tubes when it comes to those 'hard working' slots. For now, they can be had pretty cheaply.

And full respect to anyone who can build their own amp. Maybe one day.....

Cheers for that and thanks for the advice. Interestingly the "Fender RI Vibroverbs" are running lower voltages than the "original" ones and mine is vintage spec!
